What began in 2004 with my personal disappointment with reusable water bottle choices has blossomed today into KOR Water, a company with a passionate drive to provide personal and sustainable hydration solutions. It’s a been a long 3 years to get to this day, but we’re only at the starting line. Today we’re launching the KOR ONE Hydration Vessel, the first in a series of “Water ReDesigned” solutions coming from KOR. Made from Eastman Tritan and designed in partnership with RKS Design, the ONE is BPA-Free from day one and packed full of innovative goodies to celebrate your water. Below are some photos of the KOR ONE 750 mL water vessel (shipping next month; suggested retail $29.95).

1Wow, what a fantastic bottle. It looks so sophisticated–I can take this into a business meeting and not feel like I am cluttering up the conference table with trash. I think everyone is going to want one when they see it.
I love that I don’t have to keep adding to landfills, it really sickens me every time I see a plastic bottle in the trash can. I can’t wait to get one!

3Seriously, I had TWO Nalgene water bottles that I purchased and ended up losing somewhere between traveling to & from school and work and home. It is fate and things happen for a reason. It’s a good thing they halted the production of those bottles considering they found a positive correlation with the BPA in those bottles and breast cancer, early puberty, and feminizing hormones to men. BAH, anyhow, this seems like a good investment. And I’m always on the go and don’t mind drinking my chilled post-boiled tap water. Definitely, going to buy one this summer especially since I’ve experienced days where I need hydration in NYC and in the long run its cost efficient… And props to the design team, the bottle looks great.

4The KOR ONE is dishwasher safe (top rack). I’ve been using mine for 2-3 months now and I prefer to hand wash w/warm water and soap which does the trick. The spout is also large enough to easily accommodate a bottle brush.

6The one thing I do really like about the screw top bottles is that they are leakproof so I can throw them in my bike bag and not have to worry about finding a swamp later. Can the same be said about the KOR or is it likely to accidentally open while being tossed around in a bag?

7The KOR cap features a spring loaded latch that securely closes the a rubber seal on the spout, making it water tight. The closure is very secure and will not open unless you directly push the latch button on the front of the cap.

8Looks very nice indeed. And I am glad to read that it is dishwasher safe. One remark, though: 750 ml is not enough. What I really would want is a 1 liter or 1.2 liter bottle.

10Phillipe – funny you say that. Our first prototype was for a 1.25 L vessel which migrated down to a 1.0 L and then ultimately my decision for a 750 mL. If you’re anything like myself, you want to be able to carry enough water to last you for the day. Ultimately I sided with the more mainstream market b/c of vessel size/height. We WILL be coming out w/a 1 to 1.5 L version later.
Lucas – Yes we will ship worldwide via http://www.korwater.com

11I agree with Phillipe – 1.0L is the minimum I would every carry, especially with a bottle this expensive. Otherwise, I’d constantly be looking for other sources of water to fill the Kor bottle with.
Great design… let’s see it in the 1.0 version soon! I need to replace my old Nalgene. Thanks!

12I’m guessing from the photos of the bottle that it’s not insulated…

16Amazing piece of design work. I’m totally fine with paying a bit more for anything that puts sustainabiliy first. Look foward to seeing those 1 and 1.5 L bottles!

18If the vessel is not insulated how or does it remain or can liquid remain hot or cold?

19It’s not insulated but features a much thicker wall than traditional bottles helping to keep water colder a little bit longer.

21oh and yeah…could you guys also come up with a smaller bottle?
like 400 or 500ml? i think 750ml is slightly too big for my liking to lug around..

22should come in smaller sizes(perhaps skinnier and definitely less heavy) so it’s easier to carry around for office workers and students.
