Here’s an interesting fact: it takes between 3,000-6,000 gallons of water power a 60 watt lightbulb for year. That’s because almost all forms of energy production require water, and lots of it. So when we waste energy, we are also wasting water. Its a complex topic that we’ve been hearing more and more about lately. Recently the Boulder Daily Camera published this excellent article which lays out the basics in simple terms. Hopefully, we are seeing the beginning of a larger debate about this painful tradeoff and how we can better manage it as a society. We’ll keep you posted.
