Every entrepreneur needs fuel and inspiration to charge the hill. Four years ago, when we started KOR, we took copius notes from a rising star called Method. Eric Ryan (pictured) and Adam Lowry took an utilitarian category (household cleaning) and brought together design, style, and sustainable business practices to create a breakthough company and brand. Method has set the standard, and they continue to outstrip the competition. We see in them what we hope KOR can achieve in the unfolding category of “sustainable hydration”. How do we move off this ‘bottled-water’ pedestal we’re standing on in 21st century America? It’s not by demanding we all carry a canteen back to the tap. Design, innovation and environmentally aligned business values are the new motivators for consumer loyalty. Apple was certainly an early sage, but it’s Method now leading the way in style-driven sustainability.
